Project Description

This mechanical design project required a combination of plastic injection moulding and aluminium extrusion tooling to complete. Modular design and specific load bearing characteristics were both key factors that would determine ease of installation, long term maintenance-free operation and help reduce shipping costs. Communicating our development ideas with 3D story-boards improved collaboration with our client allowing a clearer understanding throughout the design process. Helping support sales and marketing activities ahead of completing the development cycle, before co-ordinating manufacture in China.
